Polruan
Polruan is an ancient fishing village with a strong boat building heritage. Clinging to the hillside, and surrounded on three sides by water. The village is a maze of narrow streets, alleys and flights of steps winding between cottages. There is only one road in and out of the village.
Polruan retains its unspoilt charm, and is only a short trip across the river on the foot passenger ferry to Fowey. Access to the South West Coast Path is from the top of the village, with a spectacular but challenging walk to Polperro. The beautiful Hall Walk finishes/starts in Polruan/Bodinnick, depending on your choose of starting point.
